FAQ's
How much does a class cost?
Please view our pricing options here.
Need to hold or cancel your EFT pass?
The EFT pass can be put on hold at any time for one month or canceled. To cancel your EFT pass, submit in writing your request by the 15th of the month prior to the month you want to cancel (i.e. to cancel in December, notification by November 15.) To place your pass on HOLD, submit in writing that you would like to do so. Please use email at info@jazzndc to hold or cancel; do NOT leave a message on the hotline.
Is there a membership fee or contract to sign?
There is no contract to sign. NW DC Jazzercise now has a $30 joining fee for new passholders and those who have not had a pass for 3 months or more.
How often should I exercise?
If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. To increase your fitness level, work out 4-5 times per week.
What are the instructors' credentials?
Jazzercise instructors participate in an intensive screening process as well as training and certification program, and are CPR certified. Instructors also continue their education in all aspects of dance and physiology to keep abreast of the latest developments in fitness.
May I bring drinks and food to a class?
We recommend Jazzercisers bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way of other Jazzercisers. No food or gum, please.
Do I need weights?
Weights are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5lb.) weights. We have some weights available to borrow at our facilities.
Do I need special clothes or equipment?
Any loose, comfortable clothes are fine. Most people wear bike shorts or jazz pants and a bra top or T-shirt. Bring along a towel or exercise mat for the floor work. Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended.
